Frederick Holmes supports this event every year and this year we did it better and bigger than ever! Students prepared and baked a wonderful selection of sweet treats throughout the week for our coffee morning. We invited staff, students and carers to join us at our event and the atmosphere in the café was certainly buzzing.
A number of students from Miss Horton’s class helped in the café with Liz and they did a fantastic job of serving our guests and keeping the café looking lovely throughout. Our PTFA and Freddie’s Flavours ladies also helped to decorate and prepare for the event, and our wonderful school cook Claire baked the tastiest carrot cake and cupcakes ever.
The event raised an amazing £131.15 which has been paid into Macmillan and the school have received a thank you card and certificate which are on display in the café.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting the event and this very deserving charity. It’s always great to see parents/carers in school participating in events with the children, young people and staff. We would also like to thank everyone who yet sent in donations or bought cakes despite being unable to attend the event.
We look forward to seeing you all at an even bigger event next year and raising more money for this fantastic cause.
